low-budget space extension / three generations house / minimum area - maximum functions & facilities

When designing this residential home, the team at INNOCAD had to consider the three generations of the family who lived there. The grandparents on the ground floor and the young Riegler family, who would be living in the new extended attic of the house. In order to keep within the confines of a low budget, INNOCAD opted for a compact house extension solution which provided a maximum of functionality on a tight floor area without decreasing the standard of living. The floor-to-ceiling glazing allows a visual interaction to the outside and enables a boundless perception. The construction period was kept to a minimum by using prefabricated solid wood elements for the walls.
