Al Hamra Tower / office interior design / new work / different hierarchy levels / filters / transparency and single office / hexagon / glass pattern
The INNOCAD team was asked to develop the headquarters for the Kuwait firm, ACICO. The project consisted of developing a plan for the space and interior design for all five office departments including for the management leaders, as well as establishing a contemporary working environment for approximtely 130 employees.
The design concept consists of two components. The first is a central, common, shared space which also includes areas for reception, cafe, meeting rooms, branding opportunities, presentations, and a welcome area for clients. The employees and department heads use the second main area. This space is divided into different zones which include open-plan office seating along the façade, space-defining furniture, a row of private work spaces and meeting rooms - which remain bright, thanks to glazed glass privacy walls - and an internal access/circulation zone, which also provides archive and storage space.
This design offers maximum transparency and brightness on one side as well a clear private zone on the other.
The overall design concept is inspired by a bee’s honeycomb, a symbol of unity and collaboration. This motif is translated directly into the design through the carpet pattern, the glass wall stitches and lighting fixtures. These themes allow the firm to establish its identity through the design, architecture, and space planning of the headquarters.
