NEW WORKPLACE ENVIRONMENT FOR RLB OÖ CAMPUS IN LINZ

  • Interior Architecture
  • Space Planning
  • Interior Design
  • Lighting Design

The new headquarters for Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich in Linz is conceived as the future centerpiece of the existing RLB OÖ campus. Designed by HENN as a contemporary timber-hybrid building, the project combines architectural innovation with a forward-looking workplace strategy. The interior design is developed by INNOCAD architecture, SODA Designers, and HofmanDujardin, each responsible for different areas within the building. INNOCAD’s concept focuses on the atrium, customer center, workplace environments, and executive level. Building upon HENN’s architectural framework, the interior strategy refines the planning through a precise approach to spatial utilization, zoning, and biophilic design. The integration of the latest research on stress-reducing and creativity-supporting workplace design creates added value for both customers and employees while supporting health, wellbeing, and cognitive performance through scientifically informed spatial concepts. At the heart of the project is a multi-level atrium conceived as a “biophilic lifeline.” Connecting all floors through bridges, staircases, and terraces up to the rooftop level, the atrium forms a walkable and multifunctional landscape that activates the entire organizational ecosystem. It becomes a space for movement and interaction, retreat and inspiration — a shared place of “we” at the center of the corporate campus. The gallery zones surrounding the atrium are strategically redefined and reduced in favor of expanding the office footprint. By optimizing circulation and spatial organization, additional workplace areas are created while preserving the openness and connectivity of the central atrium. The workplace concept itself is developed as a a tailor-made, user-centered environment environment in the spirit of a “user-generated office,” supported by professional change management processes. Integrated work cafés on every level provide diverse settings for focused work, informal communication, and collaboration, complemented by centrally positioned coffee points for brief moments of recovery and social exchange. In addition, employees are offered spaces with distinct atmospheric and functional qualities designed to support communication, efficiency, creativity, and wellbeing. Alongside the library and indoor garden, dedicated “Creative Spaces” translate current research on stress-reducing and creativity-enhancing workplace design into spatial experiences that actively support different modes of work and interaction.

START OF CONSTRUCTION FOR RLB OÖ CAMPUS IN LINZ

START OF CONSTRUCTION FOR RLB OÖ CAMPUS IN LINZ

We are delighted that the official launch of construction for the new headquarters of Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich has taken place. An important milestone for a project that will shape the cityscape of Linz in the future.

Designed by HENN architects as a contemporary hybrid timber building, the project brings together an international team consisting of HENN architecture, SODA Designers, HofmanDujardin architecture and interior design, and INNOCAD architecture.
Our role encompasses the interior design concept for the customer center, the workspaces—including the atrium areas—and the executive level.

This visionary project is now entering its next phase, and we look forward to bringing these ideas to life together with all project partners.
