ONLINE LECTURE AT KLANGLICHT SYMPOSIUM

Design & Communication Faculty at FH JOANNEUM in Graz invited 13&9 Design and INNOCAD to contribute a video lecture for Klanglicht Symposium. Unifying architecture, interior, product and sound design, Anastasija and Martin Lesjak talked about “Space / Light / Sound - Creating Atmospheres” expounding the topic with two international projects.

Anastasija and Martin Lesjak will be part of the Master NAAD 'Neuroscience Applied to Architectural Design' in Venice for the module „anatomy and physiology of architectural perception.“ They will teach students the methods whereby further architectural features, such as geometries, rhythms, materials, textures, colours, acoustic and different furniture affect the human brain-body complex. The lecture series take part from January 13th - 17th, at Università Iuav di Venezia.

The third edition of this annual Summit by Vonlanthen Group, taking place in Vienna earlier this year, was focusing on the latest trends in office design, on new ways of working and the most up-to-date experiences in collaboration with real estate, facility management, HR, technology, architecture, executive management, design and consulting experts. INNOCAD´s new office SAP VIENNA was part of the event, where Oliver Kupfner gave project insights complemented by an exclusive tour through the tech-companies biophilic workspace.

Oliver Kupfner, partner and lead architect, will participate in the panel discussion “A picture of health-integrating wellness in design” alongside Francesca Galeazzi (Arup Germany), Peter Harris (SUSD), DaeWha Kang (DaeWha Kang Design), and Anadelia Robles (5+design) on October 24th at 3.20 p.m. as part of LEAF International Forum in Berlin, Germany.

Martin Lesjak is a juror alongside Hilde Léon and Massimo Bricocoli at Graz Architecture Diploma Awards 2019 of the Faculty of Architecture at Graz University of Technology, selecting the best master thesis projects of the past academic year. The Award Ceremony GAD Awards 2019 will be held on October 3rd, 7pm at Aula, Rechbauerstraße 12/1 in Graz. He will also give a short presentation about INNOCAD’s holistic approach to architecture starting at 7.15pm.

During NYCxDESIGN, a panel event moderated by Metropolis Magazine’s Avinash Rajagopal will take place, in which experts of science, design, and manufacturing will share breakthroughs built on decades of research, offering holistic design thinking that seeks to bring nature’s calming effects to our built environments. Based on their transdisciplinary approach, Anastasija and Martin Lesjak with their 13&9 Design team worked closely with Dr. Richard Taylor, professor of physics, psychology and art at the University of Oregon and founder of Fractals Research, to create the next generation of flooring solutions for Mohawk Group. Join us on Sunday, May 19th from 3pm – 6pm at Mohawk Group NYC Showroom 125 W 25th St. / 6th Floor.

LECTURE AT MUSEUM ARCHITECTURE SYMPOSIUM IN KHARKIV

The Museum Architecture Symposium on May 14 at Kharkiv School of Architecture will discuss the current situation and prospects of the museum industry and elaborate on the new role of museums in Ukraine, as well as the cooperation between museum curators and architects in transforming traditional museums into a platform for dialogue within local communities. Martin Lesjak´s lecture will cover the design process of History Museum Graz, presenting alongside Gil Cloos from Querkraft Architekten, Oleg Drozdov from Drozdov&Partners, Yuliia Lytvynets from National Art Museum of Ukraine, and Tetiana Pylypchuk from Kharkiv Literature Museum.

Viennese Architecture Festival Architekturfestival TURN ON anually elaborates on the various design strategies of Austrian architects. The festival´s lectures operate at the interface between architecture and economy, carrying on the dialog. INNOCAD´s keynote, in cooperation with Lindner Group, will cover the design process of C&P Corporate Headquarters, currently announced as finalist for ArchDaily´s “Building of the Year 2019.”
