hillside location / tight relation to landscape & nature / new interpretation of the traditional pitched roof house / individual space settings for private or public / flexible use
Adequacy and acceptance is the premise for this fresh interpretation of the traditional gable roofed house. A desire for both privacy and openness were the determining factors for the design of both interiors and exteriors. As such the result is an overlapping of the functions of both spaces. The living space can be extended at a whim with the installation of unique building shells which can be opened differently, allowing more or less communal space depending on the time of day or year, while maintaining a consistent look at the exterior of the building.
